Nutrisystem Week 18: Time to Celebrate #NSNation #Spon

It's that time again; when I tell you all about what life is like on the Nutrisystem program. And I just have to make a shout for joy and celebrate this week! Did I lose a lot of weight? Well, no; but I made a great discovery at this week's weight in that I'm thrilled about and it is cause for celebration! So let's get right into the Nutrisystem news!

Nutrisystem gives cause for Celebrating


If you will remember; last week was not such a great week for me. I was really sick…again! Good grief; I'm so tired of my kids bringing home colds and viruses that really hit me hard. I can't hardly get recovered from one before they bring home a new one; and since I haven't fully recovered from the last one, my immune system is low and unable to resist the new virus. Quite frustrating sometimes. 

So I was feeling a bit low last week. I was sick and tired and definitely didn't do any exercising! Plus; we had Thanksgiving in the middle of the week! Now I mentioned how I did mediocre on portion control for Thanksgiving dinner and I did fairly well with managing the left overs. 

Then I went right back to the Nutrisystem program the next day. It was fairly easy for breakfast and lunch to eat on plan. Dinners were a struggle for me though. I guess I just miss having meals with the family. I don't mean not eating with them. Because I always eat with them while I'm on Nutrisystem. But I miss eating the same things they are. So on the days I felt the worst; I wasn't as strong and just ate dinner with them. On better days I was stalwart and ate on the Nutrisystem program. It equaled out to be about 50/50 dinners. But almost all breakfast and lunches were on plan. 

So with such a flip floppy week; why the cause for Celebration? For that we have to talk about my weight in this morning. 

Nutrisytem Week 18 weight in results. 

Part of the celebration comes from being able to just jump right back into the program after having such a gourmet feast on Thanksgiving. The other part is that I'm over the stupid cold and no longer taking the medication that caused massive water retention! And finally; the results of my weight in made me smile!

YES! I didn't gain five pounds over Thanksgiving like I have many years past! Sure, there wasn't a weight loss; but I didn't gain the 5-10 pounds I normally gain at this time of the year! And with all those temptations and pit falls and obstacles I was trying to over come and to only have a 0.4 lb weight gain? That's awesome! I know I can easily loose that this week as I continue to do better each and every day as I continue to improve my health and now am able to start walking again too! Finally! 

So let's see me rock those numbers next week! And pray with me that my kids keep the viruses out of the house so I can get a nice stretch of weight loss going before Christmas! I want to get a new Christmas dress this year, but I told myself I couldn't until I earned that 20 lb Nutribear! More incentive to resist those Christmas cookies that are probably going to start showing up on my doorstep in the coming weeks.

I saw an infographic that the average person consumes 4500 calories on thanksgiving and because we tend to sit around all day that works out to gaining 1 pound on that day alone and then so many of us eat the leftovers for a week or so afterwards as well. So you definitely did better than your average person :)
