Just how easy is the easy side dishes from Green Giant Seasoned Steamers?

What I really love about the Green Giant Seasoned Steamers is just how incredibly easy they are to make! You take the bag and place it on a microwave safe plate, and cook in the microwave for the recommended time. Then let it sit for a minute or two and then open and serve! It really is that simple! It lets me focus my attention and time on the main course for the meal while this easy side dish is cooking in the microwave. And when it is served; it's not some blah menu item. It is delicious and encourages everyone to eat some vegetables!

Because of the unique steamer ability of the bag; the vegetables also are well cooked, but not mushy. I hate mushy or soggy vegetables. They really taste like they have been steamed in a quality steamer. And the flavor! Oh goodness; the flavor is delicious! I tried out the backyard grilled potatoes this week for dinner. They were delicious! The seasonings were perfect. Not too spicy, not to bland. And even our toddler liked them! Score one for getting the toddler to eat vegetables!

My boys wouldn't eat this because they hate potatoes, unless they are french fries. Ha! I couldn't even get them to try it. So I want to try the other flavors now and see if I can get them to enjoy some more vegetables. I really want to try the Honey Roasted sweet Corn or the Brussels Sprouts!

  1. I use alot of green giant products and these look like winners. I love to put a good meal on the table, but I also like to do it easy. These would be perfect.

  2. Love GG Seasoned Steamers, they are great to have on hand when you need a quick side to go with you meal.

  3. These steamers are so quick, easy and tasty. And lots of times my store (Publix) has a good sale on them that I can combine with coupons for a very economical side dish. Love them when I’m in a hurry!

  4. The new steamers look so yummy! I can’t wait to try them.

  5. I think I would try the broccoli first. I have one daughter who is very good about eating vegetables, but the other daughter doesn’t eat well at all. If we could find at least one flavor of the Green Giant seasoned steamers that she likes, I would keep them in stock in my freezer. (My kids are 16 and 19, BTW, and teenagers can be just as fussy about what they eat as any toddler.)

  6. With my kids – there would be no hiding it. But, my daughter would probably try the broccoli, I might get them to try the corn and hubby and daughter would definitely eat the potatoes. It’s pretty unlikely my son would eat any of them, but they look delish!

  7. I haven’t tried these, but they look delicious!

  8. great review! I haven’t tried these yet, I think I’d like the sweet corn kind!

  9. I LOVE steamers. It makes it so much easier for me to prepare veggies quickly.

  10. I love the Seasoned Steamers! They are so quick and easy to make! My fave is the Tuscan Seasoned Broccoli!

  11. I’ve been wanting to try these. All of the flavors sound so delicious!

  12. My son is not fond of potatoes either! I would love to try the brussel sprouts.

  13. I have tried the potatoes and brussell sprouts and they are both very good. I prefer my potatoes from scratch, but the brussel sprouts were just as good fresh as in the pouch.

  14. We had a small Thanksgiving gathering and my sister had made the Honey Roasted Sweet Corn…I am now a fan and making them for my family.

  15. Oh yum! That looks delicious and so easy. I’ll have to keep my eye out for those next time I’m shopping.

  16. I already love Green Giant steamers!

  17. I love brussel sprouts but my husband won’t touch them. Obviously, he is weird. 😉

  18. We love having steamed veggies as a side dish. We do it with broccoli all the time! This would make side dishes even easier, I’m sure!!

  19. Love side dishes that are easy and taste great as well, with the way prices are today, you hate to waste your money on items that do not have a great taste or leave you wanting more taste and flavour, will certainly try the new steamers especially after reading the review!! Keep up the great work!!

  20. I love Green Giant but had not heard of the Seasoned Steamers. I’ll have to pick some up the next time I’m at the store!

  21. This looks great. I love how easy the side dishes are.

  22. Oooh, these look pretty tasty and super convenient!
